HANDMADE, HAND-ASSEMBLED + HAND-PICKED: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
Handmade: I design the piece and form its main parts myself from raw materials like wire, such as wrapping each pearl/bead into its own link. My handmade pieces often use ready-made loose chain, individual clasps or earring findings.

Hand-assembled: I design it and build it by hand from ready-made parts like necklaces, bracelets, pendants and charms, etc.

Hand-picked: a finished piece from a manufacturer, chosen by me.

I’m Ashleigh, Nail Technician, Artist, and Proud Founder of Glossy Fox.
​My journey in beauty began in 2000, working across hair, skincare and makeup
before eventually finding my way back to the industry through my love of nail artistry.​
Inspired by Korean and Japanese nail industries, Glossy Fox started as a small,
considered space for gel nails done with real care: natural nail health first, delicate
detail work second, no rushing either.​​
Jewellery is the newest chapter, and it's grown out of the same instinct — I wanted to
make and find things that felt individual, not the same simple everyday pieces you'll
find on every fashion jewellery site. So some pieces I design and hand-assemble
myself. Others I hand-pick in small, limited quantities, selecting designs i truly love and
know I, myself would wear.
Some are quiet, everyday pieces; some are bolder, statement designs. What connects
all of them is that nothing gets chosen because it's safe or easy to stock — it gets
chosen because it sparks something.
It's an evolving thing. My plan is to keep shifting more of the collection toward pieces I've made myself, and steer away from anything that feels off-the-shelf — but I'd rather be honest about where things are right now than pretend it's all handmade before it is.
I still believe it's the small, deliberate things that make the biggest difference. That's what I'm building here — a place where a fresh manicure and a new pair of earrings both feel like a genuinely good decision, not an indulgence you have to justify.
