Materials & Care

The majority of our jewellery is crafted from 304 stainless steel, selected for its durability, quality and everyday wearability.

For certain designs, some smaller components, findings or pendants may be made from other base metals where required to achieve the desired shape, finish or design detail.

For complete material information, please refer to the individual product page, where you’ll find a detailed breakdown of the materials used for each piece.

The majority of our gold-tone jewellery features real18K PVD gold plating, a high-quality finishing process known for its durability and resistance to everyday wear.

PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is a modern coating process in which a thin layer of gold-coloured material is bonded to the surface of the jewellery in a vacuum environment. Compared with traditional plating methods, PVD creates a more durable and long-lasting finish.

For certain designs, a small number of findings, components or pendants may have slight variations in their plating or finish to achieve the desired design and aesthetic.

For complete material information, please refer to the individual product page, where you’ll find a detailed breakdown of the materials used for each piece

Most of our pearl pieces feature baroque freshwater pearls, each naturally unique in shape, size and character. Depending on the design, we may also use synthetic pearls where they best complement the piece.

As pearl types can vary between designs, please refer to the individual product description for specific material details and care recommendations.

While most of our rings can be gently adjusted, they are not designed for frequent or significant reshaping. A little adjustment is perfectly fine, but repeatedly bending or significantly reshaping, may weaken or damage the piece. We recommend making small, gentle adjustments only when needed.

Most of our rings are open and gently adjustable, designed to comfortably accommodate approximately AU/US sizes 6–10.

As sizing can vary slightly between designs, please refer to the individual product page for specific sizing information and any additional fit details. Please note that while most of our rings can be gently adjusted, they are not designed for frequent or significant reshaping.

The longevity of your jewellery will vary depending on the individual piece, materials and how it is worn and cared for.

While we select durable materials designed for everyday wear, prolonged exposure to water, chemicals and extreme temperatures can affect the finish, appearance and overall longevity of your jewellery over time.

To help keep your pieces looking their best, we recommend removing your jewellery before showering, swimming, bathing or submerging it in water, and avoiding direct contact with perfumes, lotions, cleaning products and other chemicals.

With thoughtful care and mindful wear, you can help preserve the beauty and finish of your jewellery for longer. For more detailed recommendations, please see our Jewellery Care Guide below.

If your hinged earrings or huggies refuse to snap shut properly, you can usually fix the tension at home in just a few seconds. Over time, the locking mechanism can drift out of alignment, but a quick manual adjustment will restore that secure click.

Step-by-Step Fix

  • Open the Earring: Start with the earring fully open so you have a clear view of the curved pin (the post that goes through your ear).

  • Adjust the Post Upward or Downward in line with the closure: Using your thumb, apply light, even pressure to gently nudge the curved post upward/downward as needed. This slightly shortens the gap and creates a tighter lock.

  • Test the Fit: Try closing the earring. If you hear/feel a distinct snap, you are good to go!

  • Fine-Tune if Needed:

    • Too tight or won't meet? You may have pushed it up too far. Gently press the post back down a fraction of a millimetre.

    • Still too loose? Repeat the process, giving the post another tiny nudge upward/downward until the latch catches firmly.

Pro Tip: Metals naturally flex with everyday wear, so giving your clasps a tiny calibration every few months will keep them secure and prevent you from losing your favourite pieces!
